ENGADIN, SWITZERLAND — Canada's Cassie Sharpe is back on the podium at the freeski halfpipe world championship. Sharpe, from Comox, B.C., edged out teammate Rachael Karker of Erin, Ont., to earn bronze on Sunday.

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (AP) — American snowboarder Chloe Kim and Australia's Scotty James won the halfpipe gold medals at the world championships on Saturday. Kim scored 93.

IDRE FJÄLL — Reece Howden sped to a gold medal on Saturday in the second last men's World Cup ski cross race of the season, while fellow Canadian Courtney Hoffos took silver in the women's race. Howden, from Cultus Lake, B.C.

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (AP) — Italian snowboarder Michela Moioli finally earned an elusive world championship gold medal despite finishing the race on her back on Friday.

SAINT MORITZ — Canada's Eliot Grondin won gold in snowboard cross at the world championships Friday. The Ste-Marie, Que., native topped the podium ahead of France's Loan Bozzolo and Austria's Alessandro Haemmerle.

SUN VALLEY, Idaho (AP) — Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway clinched the season-long slalom title Thursday by taking fourth in a race won by teammate Timon Haugan to close out the World Cup finals.
