The Flin Flon Lions Club are providing parents with a little peace of mind. Yesterday, the service club donated 250 children identification kits to the Flin Flon, Creighton and Cranberry Portage RCMP detachments. The kits contain a special booklet in which parents place their children's fingerprints, recent photographs and identification information, such as birthmarks and blood type. Should the child ever go missing, the kit would provide police with another tool to use in their investigation. The Lions donated a box full of the kits to the police detachments, a value of $500. The kits, which feature the Lions' logo, will be available to interested parents at no charge. "We're really trying to put more emphasis on children," commented President Alan French. The Lions purchased the kits from the Victims of Violence Canadian Centre for Missing Children in Ottawa.
