Highways 106 and 135 have reopened for passenger transport.
The roads were fully reopened on Thursday evening, according to Saskatchewan Highways and the provincial Highway Hotline.
The highways were at least partially closed for exactly one month, having been shut down on August 14 due to forest fires.
During the closure, the entirety of Highway 135 was shut down, as well as the portion of Highway 106 between Creighton and the junction with Highway 135. Forest fires in the area crossed over both roads.
It is unclear what level of damage was done to the road and nearby infrastructure as a result of the fire. The road may be closed temporarily at a later date if fire or smoke conditions change.
The road was partially opened on Tuesday, when Saskatchewan Highways and Infrastructure announced that escorted vehicle convoys would be allowed to travel on the previously closed portion of Highway 106.
People evacuated from Pelican Narrows were allowed to return on Thursday after an evacuation order issued by Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation was lifted.
