The Flin Flon Bombers got a little bit of help from the Yorkton Terriers on Tuesday night, as they defeated the Nipawin Hawks 5-4. Dylan Lowe's goal at 17:17 of the third period lifted the Terriers over the Hawks. The Terriers trailed the Hawks 3-1 after two periods of play. Josh Cudmore, Trent Cassan and Lance Herauf had the other third period goals for Yorkton, while Jason Wagner scored in the first period. Croft Kurka, and Mike Bulawka each had a pair of goals for Nipawin. The Hawks are currently holding on to the last playoff spot in the Dodge Conference with 34 points in 38 games. The Bombers trail the Hawks by four points with equal games played. Flin Flon is also four points behind the Estevan Bruins for the crossover spot into the Sherwood Conference. The Bombers have two games in hand over the Bruins. Flin Flon will host the Dodge leading Kindersley Klippers this weekend for games on Friday and Saturday. The Bombers will have to compete without their captain Derek Blais on Friday, and Kevin Burwell will miss the next three games, as both are suspended.
