The SJHL All-star game might have been held in Melfort on Sunday, but it was the Humboldt Broncos who did most of the damage on the ice, as they combined for 15 points to lead the Dodge Conference over the Sherwood Conference 8-3. Arlen Marshall had a goal and four assists to lead the attack, while teammate Simon Nadeau had two goals and two assists. Scott Degelman had two goals and one assist, Brendan Vanthuyne had two assists and Mark Bradshaw added a single assist to total 15 points for the Broncos. After a scoreless first period, Notre Dame's Andrew Gordon opened the scoring for the Sherwood Conference at 3:27 When the goaltenders switched at the midpoint of the period, Battleford's Justin Pesony made 24 of 25 saves, while Melville's Quinton Gauthier was perfect, stopping all 12 shots. It didn't take long for the Dodge Conference to get to Notre Dame's Chance Gieni, who would make 27 saves on 35 shots. Simon Nadeau scored at 10:24 and 10:47, assisted by Arlen Marshall and Brendan Vanthuyne, and Arlen Marshall and Scott Degelman respectively. Yorkton's Justin Keller tied the game at 16:36, from teammate Lance Herauf and Melville's Shawn Langen. Scott Degelman gave the lead back to the Dodge Conference with two seconds remaining in the second period, from teammates Simon Nadeau and Arlen Marshall. Lance Herauf tied the game for the Sherwood Conference at 3:02 of the third period, assisted by Shayne Emmons and Jerome Tendler, both of the Weyburn Red Wings. Kindersley's Troy Schwab scored back-to-back at 5:08 and 9:46, assisted by teammate Curtis Bazylinski and La Ronge's Jeff Marshall. Arlen Marshall made it 6-3 for the Dodge Conference at 11:21, assisted by Brendan Vanthuyne and Mark Bradshaw. At 15:27, Scott Degelman scored from Simon Nadeau and Arlen Marshall, and the game ended with a trio of Nipawin Hawks combining at 17:34 to round out the scoring. Mike Bulawka had the goal, with assists going to Alex Cote and Scott Hosaluk. Humboldt's Alex Gagnon stopped 19 of 21 shots in the second half of the game for the Dodge Conference. In the prospects game, the Sherwood Conference stole the show with an 8-1 win over the Dodge Conference. Estevan's Kyle Pellerin had two goals and one assist to lead the way. The Bruins combined for 14 points, as Lorne Tytlandsvik had two goals, Dominic Cote added three assists, Pat McGillicky had a goal and two assists, Jarred Mohr had a goal and an assist and Justin Schmidt had one assist, combined with Pellerin's three points. Melville's Ryan Kienas and Weyburn's Peter MacDougall had the other Sherwood Conference goals. Nipawin's Josh Belair was the only member of the Dodge Conference team to score. In net, Estevan's Justin Mrazek was beaten once on 14 shots, while Kraig Kuczynski stopped all 15 shots faced in net for the Sherwood Conference. Nipawin's Michael Clements allowed one goal on 17 shots, while Kindersley's Steve Houghton allowed seven goals, but faced 30 shots during his duty for the Dodge Conference.
