The zone 13 championship will be held at Willowpark from Friday January 16 through to Sunday January 18. This is for a chance to represent this area in the Provincial Playoffs to be held in Brandon at the Safeway Select on February 11 through to the 15th, 2004. There are 11 rinks entered: with one from Snow Lake; the Tower rink, three from The Pas; Fjermstead, Reeves and Kozlowski, one from Uptown Curling Club; the Craig team and six from Willowpark; Leifso, Holmes, Sattleberger, Quinn, Switzer and Blatherwick. The first draw is Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Fjermstead playing Blatherwick, Switzer playing Holmes and Craig playing Leifso. The next draw will be Friday night at 7:30 with a full draw. Saturday the curling gets underway at 9 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. with the A side final at 8:00 p.m. On Sunday the draws will be 9 a.m. and the B side final will be at 12:30 p.m. and the A-B final will be at 4 p.m. if needed. The Bob Bensen team will not be taking part in this championship playdowns because his team qualified when they won the floating spot in The Pas earlier. They will be in Brandon in February. Bensen's team consists of Bob Bensen (skip) Ryan Watt, Trevor Watt and Kelly Davis. Come on out to Willowpark and cheer on your favourite team, the price is right!
