Chris Blaquiere immensely enjoyed the season and change he spent with the Flin Flon Bombers.
“I loved the freedom,” Blaquiere said. “I am a farm kid and I love to hunt and fish, so it was perfect for me.”
He now lives in Lloydminster, the Saskatchewan-Alberta border city, and is a millwright by trade. Blaquiere, 27, is married with two children.
This winter he has been suiting up with his hometown Edam Three Stars in the senior Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League.
Blaquiere played two games as an affiliated player with the Bombers in 2005-06. The next season he suited up for 43 with the club.
After three games in 2007-2008, he was traded to the Dryden Ice Dogs of the Superior International Hockey League. He played that season and the next in Dryden to close out his junior career.
