Canadian Junior 'A' Hockey League attendance reached 1,103,410 in nine member leagues through November 28. Twenty-two teams are averaging a minimum 1,013 fans per game, including 11 in the British Columbia Hockey League. The Chilliwack Chiefs, Nanaimo Clippers and Vernon Vipers of the BCHL are first through third, respectively, in CJAHL attendance. Chilliwack has attracted 39,420 fans to 15 home games, for an average of 2,628 per game. Nanaimo's average is 2,485 per game, from a total attendance of 34,783 through 14 home games. Vernon is averaging 2,193 fans per game, with 22,316 fans through 17 home games. The Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League and Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL rank fourth and fifth, respectively, in CJAHL attendance. Grande Prairie has averaged 1,810 fans per game through 14 home games, despite ongoing renovations in its arena. Alberni Valley has averaged 1,780 fans per game through 13 games in Port Alberni. Seven additional teams in the AJHL, BCHL, Maritime Junior 'A' Hockey League, Northern Ontario Junior 'A' Hockey League and Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League are averaging a minimum 1,313 fans per home game. The North Bay Skyhawks lead the NOJHL with an average of 1,400 fans per game through nine home games. The Yorkton Terriers are first in the SJHL with an average of 1,368 fans per game through eight home games. The Yarmouth, N. S., Motormart Mariners lead the MarJHL with an average of 1,322 fans per game through 13 home games. BCHL attaendance has risen to 304,163 through 227 games, for an average of 1,340 fans per game. The Penticton Vees, Salmon Arm Silverbacks, Victoria Salsa, Prince George Spruce Kings, Surrey Eagles, Cowichan Valley Capitals and Coquitlam Express are also averaging 1,113 or more in the BCHL. Les Pantheres de Saint-Jerome are first in la Ligue de Hockey Junior AAA du Quebec with an average of 1,198 fans per game through 10 home games. The Cornwall Colts lead the Central Junior Hockey League in eastern Ontario with an average of 1,071 fans per game through 11 home games. The Fort McMurray Oil Barons and Drumheller Dragons of the AJHL, the Pictou County Weeks Crushers of the MarJHL, who play out of New Glasgow, N. S., the Flin Flon Bombers and Battlefords North Stars of the SJHL round out the CJAHL franchises averaging a minimum 1,013 fans per game.
