The worst outcome possible about the disappearance of Kara Fosseneuve was confirmed by Manitoba RCMP Monday.
Kara Fosseneuve, who was reported missing last week, was found deceased, according to a statement issued by police Jan. 9. Flin Flon RCMP said that the body of Fosseneuve, 27, had been located. RCMP do not suspect foul play in her death, but an autopsy is planned and further investigation will take place.
"Kara Fosseneuve has been located deceased. Criminality does not appear to be a factor. An autopsy will take place. The investigation continues," reads the newest information from RCMP, shared Jan. 9.
No further information about Fosseneuve's death has been released by law enforcement.
Fosseneuve was last seen leaving a home on Dadson Row Dec. 31 and had not been heard from since. RCMP said in a Jan. 7 statement that Fosseneuve left the house on foot and without her phone. Fosseneuve was first reported missing January 5 - Manitoba RCMP released information about Fosseneuve's disappearance Jan. 7.
"Officers patrolled looking for Kara and spoke with her friends and family, following up on multiple leads. However, Kara remains missing," reads the Jan. 7 statement.
Officers at Flin Flon and Creighton RCMP detachments took part in the search for Fosseneuve.
