Saskatchewan RCMP are looking for information after a 20-year-old man from Denare Beach was found dead in Shellbrook, Sask.
A man was brought to Shellbrook Hospital August 21 between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time with serious injuries. The man later died in hospital.
RCMP have identified the man as Wesley Custer, originally from Denare Beach. Custer's death is being investigated by RCMP as a homicide.
According to RCMP, Custer had moved away from Denare Beach and had been living in the Prince Albert/Montreal Lake area. RCMP have been unable to find the person or persons who brought Custer to the hospital or determine where he had been or who he had been with prior to his death.
"The Major Crimes Unit North is asking for the public assistance in identifying where Wesley was, what he did, who he was with and what he said during the days leading up to his death," reads a Saskatchewan RCMP news release issued August 24.
The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit North is seeking information to find out Custer's whereabouts before his death, as well as related reports of "suspicious activity" around the Shellbrook Hospital August 21.
