Flin Flon’s Remembrance Day ceremony will go ahead next week. Like last year, it will be held with limited attendance and streamed online.

For a second consecutive year, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 73 will host the ceremony at the Legion Hall building for a small number of dignitaries, veterans, Legion members and media instead of holding a large-scale ceremony at the Flin Flon Community Hall. The ceremony will be recorded and live-streamed on the Legion’s Facebook page, starting at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11.

The annual ceremony will bear a strong resemblance to last year’s event, with the laying of wreaths and typical Remembrance Day ritual continuing on but attendance restricted to a small number of people.

All attendees will also need to wear masks, as per the province’s current mask mandate for indoor public spaces.
