Statistics Canada figures show Flin Flon Mounties cleared 66.6 per cent of reported criminal offences for the 10-year period between 2007 and 2016.

Police cleared 28.2 per cent of those cases by laying charges. The remaining cases were cleared by other means, typically meaning there was insufficient evidence to charge a suspect or the victim chose to drop or not pursue charges.

During the same 10-year period, Manitoba police forces as a whole cleared 46.6 per cent of reported offences. They resolved 56.7 per cent of those cases by laying charges.

In terms of violent crime, Flin Flon RCMP cleared 86.0 per cent of reported offences during the period. Of those cases, 43.7 per cent involved charges being laid.

Manitoba police forces were less successful, clearing 76.1 per cent of violent
offences. They cleared 63.9 per cent of those cases by charging suspects.

Break-and-enters proved difficult to resolve for both Flin Flon RCMP and Manitoba police forces.

Flin Flon Mounties cleared 33.6 per cent of break-and-enters for the 10-year span, laying charges in 27.6 per cent of those cases.

Manitoba police forces cleared 18.2 per cent of break-and-enters and laid charges in 65.4 per cent
of cases.

For the 10-year period, Flin Flon RCMP charged an average of 169.3 people per year, including 20.6 youth between the ages of 12 and 17. In 2016, they charged 191 people and 16 youth.
