No injuries have been reported following a house fire at a duplex in Creighton.
The fire was first reported around 1:45 p.m. on Elander Avenue April 29, with firefighters from the Creighton Volunteer Fire Department reaching the scene soon after. About 15 minutes afterward, reinforcements from the Flin Flon Fire Department were called in to fight the blaze.
Fire officials have confirmed no one was injured in the fire, which sent a black plume of smoke high into the air that was visible from Flin Flon. Smoke from the fire overwhelmed onlookers on Elander Avenue while firefighters knocked down the flames.
The home was heavily damaged in the fire, with the roof of the house falling at one point as firefighters sprayed down the scene.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
