The Flin Flon Fire Department’s latest Boot Drive brought in $14,500 for local and provincial causes.
The event, held Friday, Sept. 8, saw firefighters and Scotiabank employees collect cash donations in boots at a voluntary checkstop on Third Avenue.
Donations will go to the Flin Flon Aboriginal Friendship Centre, Flin Flon Ski Club and the Manitoba Burn Centre.
The total collected includes a $4,000 contribution from Scotiabank.
Members of the fire department expressed their gratitude to motorists who supported the fundraiser.
