Northern Rainbow's End Charity Craft Sale, which was held on November 30 this year, was against considered a huge success. Once again, the usual request for donations of non-perishable food items met with a great response, and 13 boxes of food items were turned over to the Food Bank. Another feature of this event was a coat and/or blanket donation to Kids North, and again this met with a tremendous response. Leona Kemp and co-organizer, Sandra Barr of Northern Rainbow's End had nothing but praise for Flin Flon and area businesses and individuals who donated generously to this venture. From these donations, we were able to carry out numerous raffles. See 'Gifts' P.# Con't from P.# The proceeds of these raffles are now being used to brighten up Christmas for many individuals who would otherwise receive little or nothing. We also provided gifts to the Salvation Army and Elks Christmas program, as well as the Gift Program organized by Ida Kozar. In addition, items are being given to PCH, the Manor, and the Group Home to brighten up the facilities. Two baby layettes for new mothers in need are being donated to Maternity Ward, together with personal supplies packages for Maternity and Third Floor. We might add that for many of the businesses who donated to this venture, the donations come full circle in that we attempt to channel the money back to the merchants in every way possible. Together as a community we can make things happen and this is evident each year when this program takes place.
