A 41-year-old man who had been looking after a fishing camp on Kisseynew Lake has been reported missing. RCMP are seeking Raymond Moose, who hasn't been seen since August 2.
According to an announcement by Cranberry Portage RCMP Thursday afternoon, Moose was reported missing to police August 5. Moose has been caretaking the camp near Sherridon, but hasn't been seen since August 2, when he was spotted at a business in Flin Flon. Moose's boat, which is normally at the camp, is also missing.
"While several people are staying at the camp, it is not common for the camp to be left unattended for any period of time. Family and police are concerned for the well-being of Moose," reads the RCMP announcement.
Moose is described as having short black hair and standing around 5-foot-10 and 176 pounds. When he was last seen, he was wearing a red sweater and black hat. He is often seen in Flin Flon, Sherridon, around Kisseynew Lake and on roadways between the three areas - Moose typically travels by bicycle between each region.
Anyone with information on Moose's whereabouts is asked to call Cranberry Portage RCMP at (204) 472-4044 or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at manitobacrimestoppers.com or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (1-800-222-8477).
