Foul play is not suspected after RCMP located the body of a 12-year-old girl in a wooded area of Thompson. Police received a report of a possible death near Thompson Dr. and Oak St. around noon on Tuesday. The body was located shortly thereafter. An autopsy was to have taken place at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg yesterday, police said. Police withheld the identity of the girl pending the notification of her family. RCMP are continuing with their investigation.
