The Hapnot/Creighton Art Show opened at the NorVA Centre on Saturday morning with a range of styles and media on display.
Art teachers Christie Jedele, of Hapnot Collegiate and Catherine Joa, of Creighton Community School, glowed with pride as 25 attendees, including many students, studied the exhibited artwork.
All high school art students were invited to contribute artwork to this special exhibit.
Bob Smith, superintendent of the Creighton School Division, and Murray Skeavington, Flin Flon School Division board member, opened the event with touching comments about the importance of the arts in schools.
Art on display includes tattoo studies, mixed media collages, paintings, a class of self-portraits, a flying Spiderman, and a giant pencil crafted from wood, plaster, sheet metal and paint.
The exhibit will be open to visitors until next Wednesday, April 22.
