EVERETT, Wash. — Diego Buttazzoni had a goal and assist, netminder Ondrej Stebetak made 40 saves, and the visiting Portland Winterhawks defeated the Everett Silvertips 4-2 in a Game 7 showdown at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Kyle Chyzowski, Hudson Darby and Kyle McDonough also scored for the Winterhawks, who were outshot 42-33, including 14-8 in the third period.

Landon DuPont and Lukas Kaplan scored for the Silvertips, who went 0-for-3 on the power play. The Winterhawks were 1-for-3.

The teams were scoreless after the first period, and tied 1-1 heading into the third.

The Silvertips finished first in the Western Conference this season with 104 points. The Winterhawks were fifth with 76 points.

The Silvertips whipped the Winterhawks 8-4 on Saturday in Portland to tie the best-of-seven series 3-3 and force the winner-take-all contest.
