CALGARY — The Calgary Surge of the Canadian Elite Basketball League announced Thursday that former NBA bench boss Kaleb Canales has been named the team’s head coach for the 2025 season.

TORONTO — Monica Wright Rogers has been hired as the first general manager of the WNBA's Toronto Tempo, according to reports. The expansion team will begin play in 2026. The Athletic and ESPN are reporting that the hiring is official.
